In contrast to most other attorneys who have never worked in academia themselves and approach tenure issues and other academic employment problems as regular contract or employment disputes, I have been a professor myself, rising through the ranks from being a visiting assistant professor of law to becoming tenured at a nationally ranked, ABA-accredited law school. More importantly, I had to fight for my own tenure after receiving unwarranted resistance from the university I worked for (albeit not the law school department). I know what it takes to see through a successful and fair fight from start to finish!
